Who Is Zephyr Instrumental?
Kerry Fetter

Kerry has been playing trumpet for 47 years and has performed with and/or produced concerts with multiple ensembles, recording artists, bands, and orchestras while performing on over 50 records, CDs, and DVDs. He was the Founder of the Zephyr Brass Choir, a founding member of the Zephyr Brass Quintet, and is also responsible for the establishment of the Zephyr Choral Guild of Atlanta. As President of Fetter Enterprises, Inc., which owns Zephyr Music, Inc. he is responsible for the development of the Zephyr family of groups as well as various other artists and artistic endeavors.


Kerry is the Founder and Music Director of Zephyr Instrumental.

Derek Matthews

Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is a highly creative individual and strives to set business and personal goals and looks forward to achieving them. Piano is Derek’s passion and he is continually trying to develop the creative parts of his life either working on a new piano piece, creating a new oil painting, or learning a new language. His favorite composer is Chopin.

Derek is a charter member of Zephyr Instrumental.

Rick Bragg

Rick began singing with his family at the age of 4 and started writing his own songs at the age of 6. At the age of 8 he began studying piano, baritone horn at the age of 10, and the cello at the age of 12. He is the only charter member left from the original Zephyr Brass Ensemble in 1994 and has been writing and arranging for the various Zephyr groups since 1996.

Rick is a charter member of Zephyr Instrumental.

Gary Koepke

Gary Koepke began playing the violin at the age of 8 and became a member of the Detroit Youth Symphony Orchestra and the concertmaster of his high school orchestra. Around that same time he began playing the guitar eventually taking both classical and jazz guitar lessons as well as playing folk, blues and rock. After moving to Georgia, Gary began putting more emphasis on the guitar, playing in several bands including Simple Truth and was an early member of the Mike & Von Rogers band, which had 2 albums on the Maranatha label in the early 1980’s. He has taught guitar since the 1970’s and has been a minister of music and a member of various church music programs. Currently Zephyr Instrumental is his main musical outlet and he is the Director of Marketing for Zephyr Music, Inc.

Christy Fetter-Perez

Christy first fell in love with the sound of the oboe while listening to the soundtrack for Conan the Barbarian. At the age of 8 she began taking lessons on the instrument. Christy has enjoyed a wide variety of musical endeavors both instrumentally and vocally among which was being a member of the Young Singers of Callanwolde. She is a vocal teacher and currently also sings soprano with the Zephyr Choral Guild of Atlanta.

Christy Fetter-Perez - Oboe, Vocals
Linda Fetter

Linda began playing recorder in elementary school and picked up the flute in the 6th grade and continued playing in the band in Jr. High, High School, and college where she met her husband Kerry on their many band tours. She is a former member of Duluth String & Wind Ensemble and currently a member of Zephyr Winds. Linda is a practicing Registered Nurse at a local hospital in Atlanta, GA.


Linda is a charter member of Zephyr Instrumental.

Linda Fetter - Flute
Nani Grey

Nani began playing clarinet in the 5th grade and was awarded the John Philips Sousa award in 1986. She was a member of the inaugural Governors School for the Arts Orchestra in 1985, was principle clarinetist for the Southern College of Seventh-Day-Adventist Orchestra (now Southern Adventist University where she held a 4 year music scholarship) from 1985 -1989, and while in this orchestra toured the orient in 1985, Greece in 1989, as well as numerous tours of the United States with a performance in the famed Carnegie Hall in New York city in 1989.
Nani is also a member of Zephyr Winds.

Nani Grey - Clarinet
David Fetter

David began playing trumpet at the age of 10 and played through middle school and 3 years of high school before putting the instrument down for 2 years. After picking up his instrument again in 1999, he joined the Zephyr Brass. He has played consistently for the past 11 years throughout every incarnation of the Zephyr groups while continuing with Zephyr Brass Quintet.

David is a charter member of Zephyr Instrumental.

David Fetter - Trumpet, Flugelhorn
Randy Alton

Randy began playing horn in the third grade on the recommendation of the band director. He played through high school where he was awarded the John Phillip Sousa Award for musicianship and into college where he played horn in the symphonic band and in the college horn club. After college he put his horn down in favor of family and professional obligations, but picked it up again in the mid-1990’s first with his church orchestra and then Zephyr Brass Choir.

Randy is a charter member of Zephyr Instrumental.

Randy Alton - French Horn
Allison Bishop

Allison graduated from Florida State University and currently teaches math in the Gwinnett Public School System in Georgia. She performed with the Zephyr Brass Choir and is currently a member of the Zephyr Brass Quintet.

Allison is a charter member of Zephyr Instrumental.

Jerome Kimble

Jerome studied music at Harbor College under Dr. Ken Miller (who at one time arranged music for Stan Kenton). Prior to joining Zephyr Instrumental he played exclusively in Los Angeles, CA with various organizations which include Chester Whitmore’s Opus One Big Band, the Los Angeles Police Department Concert Band, Critical Brass Combo, and various large and small groups.

Jerome is a charter member of Zephyr Instrumental.

Garry Fryar

Garry has been a school music teacher since 1985 and has been with the DeKalb County Public School system since 2003. He is also the choir director for the Conyers Seventh-Day-Adventist Church in Conyers, GA and has played with the Zephyr Brass Quintet and was a member of the Zephyr Brass Choir.

Garry is a charter member of Zephyr Instrumental.


Garry Fryar - Tuba
Rob Allcorn

Rob began studying percussion at the age of 12. He has performed with the Atlanta Wind Symphony, the Cobb County Orchestra, the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corp., and various rock bands, jazz groups, musical “pit” bands, marching bands, and various percussion ensembles. Zephyr Instrumental is his musical oasis for the music that stirs his soul.

Bobby Tamburrino

Bobby has been playing percussion incorrectly for over 20 years. He was a member of the Pit (Front Percussion Ensemble) with the University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band from 1995-1999 while obtaining a Computer Science degree. Since then, he has performed with the Alpharetta City Band, Atlanta Wind Symphony, Cobb Symphony Orchestra, The Zephyr Brass Choir, Pit Band at the Rosweater Theatre, and was most recently seen playing with the Official Atlanta Falcons Drumline.

Bobby is a charter member of Zephyr Instrumental.
